Citizens Advice Eastbourne hosted a well-attended breakfast morning on Tuesday 22nd July at the FOUNDRY in the Beacon, bringing together trustees, volunteers, and local business people to raise awareness of the charity’s vital work in the community.
The morning opened with a brief introduction from Tom Buttle, who has been leading the marketing and design efforts following strategic planning sessions with experts Duncan Adams and Jamie Pierce last September.
Alan Bruzon, Chief Officer, spoke passionately about the incredible work the charity does to support local people, highlighting its positive impact in Eastbourne and reminding attendees that Citizens Advice is a charity, something often overlooked.
Guests were shown a powerful video created by Tom and local videographer Glen Smith, capturing the stories of the team members and volunteers that all contribute to ensure Citizens Advice Eastbourne has a lasting positive impact on our town.
Alan also shared that a new website, developed with Julian Perrott from Barkweb, is in the final stages and will launch in the coming months to help further the charity’s reach and accessibility.
A luxury cake was raffled during the morning, with Tom Fielder from Switchplane emerging as the lucky winner, adding a touch of fun to the event.
The breakfast morning provided an opportunity for local businesses to learn how they can support Citizens Advice Eastbourne, ensuring it can continue to offer free, confidential advice to those who need it most in our community.
