As part of Volunteers’ Week, we were delighted to come together on 3 June 2025 at the Rainbow pub in Old Town, Eastbourne to celebrate the incredible contribution our volunteers make to the local community.
Over the past year (April 2024 – March 2025), our volunteers have supported more than 4,000 clients, helping them to resolve 9,318 issues and generate an estimated £1.6 million in income. Behind each of those numbers is a story of someone’s life made a little easier thanks to the time, care, and compassion our volunteers give.
The patience, understanding and generosity of our volunteers makes an extraordinary difference, not only to individual clients but to the wellbeing of the whole Eastbourne community. We can’t thank you them enough for their dedication and the positive impact they bring every day.
It was wonderful to see so many at the Volunteers’ Thank You Event. The room was full of conversation, laughter, and shared stories, a true reflection of the spirit that makes our organisation so special.
A special highlight of the day was celebrating Judy Marshall, who received a Long Service Award for an incredible 25 years of volunteering with Citizens Advice Eastbourne. Judy’s commitment and kindness have touched countless lives, and we’re deeply grateful for her years of service.
