Our First Fund Raising Dinner

Citizens Advice Eastbourne held its first ever fundraising dinner on 2^nd November 2016 at La Loconda Del Duca. This was attended by 80 people from local businesses and friends of the local charity. The event included an auction and a raffle with prizes which had been donated by local businesses and hampers containing items donated by the Bureau’s volunteers. It was organised with help from Eastbourne Chamber of Commerce.

Chairman, Michael Frayne, spoke to those present and explained that many people do not know that Citizens Advice Eastbourne is a charity, responsible for raising its own funds. Demand for its services remains high and most of their work involves helping some of the most vulnerable people in the community.

Manager, Alan Bruzon, said “The evening was a great success which raised over £6,500 - much needed support for our important work. I’d like to thank everyone involved for their help in organising the event and their considerable generosity. We hope to do the same next year”.
